Abstract
The rotor, having adjustable blading, includes at least one pair of motors 51, 53 each comprising at least two relatively-movable main components, i.e. pistons 50, 52 and cylinders 54, 55. One motor 51 of the or each pair is oppositely-disposed, about the rotational axis 24 of the rotor, with respect to the other motor 53 thereof and both motors are associated each with a respective control circuit. Transmission means including cam plates 62, 63 is provided by way of which said motors, by relative movement of the main components thereof, effect adjustment of the blading. The relative movement of the two main components 54, 50 of one motor 51 of the or each pair is such in relation to the relative movement of said two main components 55, 52 of the other motor 53 of the or each pair that for a given direction of blade adjustment, the effect of the centrifugal forces acting on the motors is substantially balanced out. As shown, pistons 50, 52 are arranged to move in opposite radial directions for a given direction of blade adjustment. <IMAGE>
