Abstract

A cracking catalyst composition comprises discrete particles of ultra- stable Y-type zeolite and discrete particles of alumina dispersed in a porous oxide matrix. The catalyst composition comprises 5-40 wt.% ultrastable Y-type zeolite, 5-40 wt.% alumina and 40-90 wt.% of porous oxide matrix. The cracking catalyst composition has unusually on high activity and selectivity for the production of high octane gasoline fractions from higher boiling point feedstocks.
