Abstract
A zeolite cracking catalyst comprises a mixture of (a) an aluminosilicate having a pore size less than 7 and (b) an aluminosilicate having a pore size greater than 8 . The catalyst may be incorporated in a porous matrix, numerous examples of which are disclosed. The zeolite may have any of a large selection of cations associated therewith, e.g. H\sW, NH4\sW, substituted NH4\sW, Na\sW, Ag\sW, Ca\sW\sW Pt\sW\sW, Be\sW\sW, Bo\sW\sW, Mg\sW\sW, Mn\sW\sW, Zn\sW\sW, Al3\sW, Zr4\sW, Cr3\sW, Fe3\sW, Ni\sW\sW, Co\sW\sW, Ce3\sW, La4\sW, and other R.E. cations. Powdered metals e.g. Al and stainless steel or any of a large selection of clays may also be associated with the catalysts.
