Abstract

The starter has a push-screw drive (5, 6, 7) and is coupled to a solenoid switch (14) by means of a starter engaging lever (22) of one- part construction and made from plastics material. The engaging lever (22) is provided at its fulcrum with lateral journals (23) which are rotatably received in a plastics bearing member (19). The bearing member is inserted into recesses (18) in the drive bearing housing (15). Fork ends (35) of the engaging lever have bores in which are received journals (13) of a driver ring (11). <IMAGE>
