Abstract

A soft solder flux is characterised by the presence of a hypophosphite preferably the ammonium salt, which gives an improved solder joint. The solder plus flux plus solvents may be made into a paste of prolonged shelf life. Other fluxes such as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate may also be included in the solder flux.
