Abstract

A rinsing device for a beverage dispensing installation in which a rinsing head is located between a beverage reservoir and a dispensing valve, has the rinsing head formed as a hollow casing (19) in which a valve element (20) is adapted to slide reciprocatingly therein. The valve element is provided with at least one recess (43) leading on to its outer face and which, in one position in the casing, brings into mutual communication the portions (5,7) of the beverage pipe situated on each sided the rinsing head and, in another position in the casing, brings the portion (7) of the beverage pipe which is situated between the rinsing head and the dispensing valve into communication with the rinsing liquid supply pipe (13). The rinsing head comprises a double-acting piston (21) movably penetrating into a fitting part of the casing which forms a cylinder (22), and cooperating with the valve element (20) in order to change the position of the latter. <IMAGE>
