Abstract

A tool carrier, such as a roller box tool for a lathe, has a body 1 which has pivotally mounted thereon a holder 13 for a cutting insert 4. The holder 13 is pivotally mounted by way of an eccentric pin 14 whereby rotation of the pin relative to the holder effects adjustment of the holder with respect to the intended axis of rotation A of a workpiece, the adjustment having a tangential component. The movement is limited by engagement of a pin 18 in an elongated slot 19, there being slots corresponding to insert positions. The pin 18 may be eccentric to provide the adjustment. <IMAGE>
