Abstract
The developing apparatus has a circulatory flow circuit with a pump for circulating the developing ammonia gas in sequential steps between a developing chamber (15) and an ammonia gas supply container (3) through separate supply and return branches. Magnetic control valves (27-39) open and close other valves (4-10) in the closed circuit and in access circuits to make sure that the developing takes place in said sequence. The access circuits include an auxiliary gas container (17) for storing the ammonia gas immediately prior to its transfer to the development chamber, a further pump (11) and a vacuum container (22) for evacuating the chamber prior to filling with ammonia gas, as well as further controlling and controlled valves for the sequence control.
