Abstract

Cleaning equipment comprises a chamber 10 containing a support for articles to be cleaned, a pump for delivering cleaning liquid to pipework within the chamber, the pipework being apertured so that, in use, jets of cleaning liquid from the apertures are applied to articles supported within the chamber, gas heating means 12 for heating the cleaning liquid before it is delivered to the pipework, and an air blower 16 for delivering air to the interior of the chamber, after cleansing of the articles by the cleaning liquid, to dry the articles. Air is supplied to the air blower 16 from a jacket 14 around the gas flue pipe 13, so that the air supplied to the blower is pre-warmed by the hot flue gases from the gas heating means. <IMAGE>
