Abstract

A common switch for X and M contacts is selectively operated by the shutter release or by the movement of shutter blades. The device comprises shutter blade means (4); shutter release means (9); blade moving means (12, 13, 16, 20, 21), operated as a result of actuation of the shutter release means (9), for moving the shutter blade means (4) to effect opening and closing of a shutter aperture (1a); a flash circuit (not shown) including a normally open switch (23); a change-over member (24) which may be set in first and second positions; a switch-operating member (26) whose position depends on the setting of the change-over member (24); and an actuating member (11) which is actuated by operation of the shutter release means (9) and which is engageable with the switch-operating member (26); the arrangement being such that, in operation, when the change-over member (24) has been set in its first position (shown in Figure 5), the switch-operating member (26) is so disposed that the actuating member (11) causes the switch-operating member (26) to close the switch (23) and, when the change-over member (24) has been set in its second position (shown in Figure 8), the switch-operating member (26) is so disposed that a part (20) of the blade moving means (12, 13, 16, 20, 21) causes the switch-operating member (26) to close the switch (23). <IMAGE>
