Abstract

A flexible pipe joint comprises a pair of spaced apart opposed hard tubular bodies (3) interconnected with each other by means of a cylindrical rubber body (2) with a reinforcing layer (5) embedded therein, each hard tubular body being provided with a circumferential rib (8) projecting radially therefrom at a position spaced axially outwardly from the inner end of the hard tubular body, a circumferential reinforcing member (9) being embedded in the cylindrical rubber body at a position defined by the inside surface (8a) of the circumferential rib, the outer surface of the hard tubular body, a radial plane passing the inner end of the hard tubular body, and the reinforcing layer. <IMAGE>
