Abstract

A textile fibre dressing containing 1 to 99% by weight of organosilicon compounds and 99 to 1% by weight of known textile fibre dressing constituents is provided. The organosilicon compounds are of mean empirical formula <IMAGE> in which 15 to 96 mol % of R<1> radicals are hydrogen and 85 to 4 mol % of the R<1> radicals are a trialkylsilyl, triarylsilyl or tri-(alkylaryl)-silyl radical and/or a phenyl radical and/or a mono-, di- or trialkylphenyl radical, the sum of the carbon atoms bonded in the form of the alkyl radicals on each phenyl radical being at most 12, and n has a value of 3 to 30.
