Abstract
Compsn. for textile fibres, partic. for hot melt spinning (of polyester fibres) contains (a) 1-99 wt. % cpds. of formula (I): (where R1 contains 15-96 moles % H and 85-4 moles % trialkyl silyl, tri-(alkylaryl) - silyl and/or is phenyl and/or monoalkylphenyl, dialkylphenyl or trialkylphenyl, the sum of C atoms fixed as alkyl being, per phenyl gp., a max of 12, and n is 3-30), and (b) 99-1 wt. % known cpds. The compsn. has improved antistatic effect and a lower viscosity which is stable to heat. (I) does not gellify and does not undergo yellowing. The use of (I) avoids the use of solvents in the hot melt prepn.
