Abstract

A liquid dispensing apparatus such as for intermittent dispensing of fuel to motor vehicles, the apparatus including a system for recovering vapor emitted from the liquid receiver during filling and an arrangement for sensing and responding to the presence of liquid flowing in a vapor passageway 446 of the system and/or to the existence of an abnormal pressure in the liquid receiver, the arrangement comprising a control means 450 connected to at least one pressure sensor 452, 454 opening into vapor passageway 446 and adapted to transmit a pressure signal by line 485 to signal device 484, power for the control means preferably being drawn from the movement of liquid in the liquid dispensing passageway 432 of the system e.g. through the action of an aspirator 486, 488, 492. <IMAGE>
