Abstract

An anti-skid device comprises an anti-skid element (1) adapted to extend across the tread of a tyre, and a pair of metal fasteners (2) connected to the ends of the anti- skid element by hook portions (2a) thereof). Each fastener is formed by bending a metal rod in such a manner that a free end part (2b) thereof is spirally twisted by about one and a half turns enabling the device to be attached at each end to a rope, wire or chain at a side of the tyre, as shown by Fig. 3. The element (1) may alternatively be a wire-reinforced rubber member. <IMAGE>
