Abstract

A gearbox has a housing 11. Gear change displacer 14 extends through the walls of the housing and is pivotably connected to the lower end of a manually operable gear change lever 12. The lever is pivotable about a fulcrum 16 which is coupled to the housing by a rigid link 19. The link limits movement of the gear lever 12 to reduce the chance of inadvertent contact with obstructions in the vicinity of the lever. <IMAGE>
