Abstract

A wax depilation appliance for domestic use comprises a vessel 5 for containing the wax, an electric heating resistor 9 for heating the vessel, and a filter 12 placed within the vessel in order to remove hairs and impurities from the wax after each period of use of the appliance and to permit re-use of the wax, said filter consisting of a removable, disposable container of light and flexible material which is permeable to hot wax and withstands contact with the wax at a temperature of at least 120 DEG C. <IMAGE>
