Abstract

Firing apparatus for rocket launchers or the like includes a spring- loaded firing pin 4 mounted in a bearing sleeve 3. The firing pin 4 is retractable against spring pressure by a camming action brought about by relative rotation of the bearing sleeve and a relatively rotatable and axially fixed coaxial sleeve 2. The cam profile is a saw-tooth profile on an end face of the sleeve 2. The cam profile is engaged by a transverse bar 6 connected to the firing pin 4. The coaxial sleeve 2 is rotationally fast with an outer grip sleeve 1. <IMAGE>
