Abstract

A spreader, particularly for fertiliser, comprises a container having at least one outlet opening (48, 58) therein for supplying material to be spread to throwing means (38, 55) angularly drivable about a vertical axis (7) for ejecting material over an edge (51, 69) thereof. The angle of ejection measured from the axis (7) is made adjustable to suit different field conditions by providing at least two interchangeable throwing elements which provide different ejection angles or, as shown, by providing a throwing element comprising an inner part (40, 63) and an outer part (42, 65) pivotably connected together. <IMAGE>
