Abstract

Electrical semi-conductor apparatus providing a periodically repeating coded pulse signal comprises an oscillator and a multi-stage binary counter supplied by the oscillator. Each counter stage has a pair of output connections at which mutually inverted pulse trains are established so that the output connections of the counter stages pass at the frequency of the input oscillations to the counter through a sequence of states which repeats continuously, the states each being represented by the output condition of the pairs of output connections of the counter stages. Each state identifies one oscillation of each sequence. Gating devices are supplied by the outputs of the counter stages and operate to combine pulses or and remove pulses from one of the trains of pulses at the output connections of the first stage of the counter to provide a repeating coded pulse output signal. <IMAGE>
