Abstract

A doll (particularly a rag doll) is provided with separate face elements (11) in the form of pieces of cloth or other flexible material, each carrying markings representing various facial expressions, one of the face elements being removably affixed to a face portion (10) of the doll itself. In this way, the expression of the doll can be varied at will. The face elements are preferably fixed to the face portion by a burr-type fastening material (12, 13). Preferably, at least some of the head and limbs are also separably connected to the trunk, again preferably by a burr-type fastening material. If the feet are formed to represent the head of a swan, by arrangement of the components of the doll, it can easily be converted to a model of a swan in the swimming position. <IMAGE>
