Abstract

A timed switching device has a microswitch 37 which adjusts the time of turning a central heating installation on or off as determined by a temperature sensing means 30 which rotates a plate 38 to move a switch 37 and actuating lever 39, 40 relative to a motor-driven timing cam 41. Follower 40 on lever 39 normally operates to turn the central heating on for a nominal 'on' period, but the commencement of this period is automatically varied by the movement of plate 38 so as to start earlier in cold weather and later in warmer weather. <IMAGE>
