Abstract

A process for the automatic selection of heating programmes consists in measuring the outside temperature and bringing into service one or two clocks controlling reduced or extended series of heating cuts, or cutting off heating completely according to whether the sensed outside temperature is above the first second or third of three threshold values. A device for use in a system implementing this process comprises three temperature sensing thermostats (A,B,C) respectively defining said low, average and high temperature thresholds. Said first and second clocks (P1,P2) act on a control relay (R) with contacts (1,2,3) respectively closed according to whether control is by the clocks (P1,P2) or a third clock (P3) operative to cut off the heating at weekends. Means are provided for cutting off the heating according to the programmed sequence of the clock at the time operative. <IMAGE>
