Abstract

A relief printing plate is produced by image-wise exposing and developing a material comprising a support having thereon a photopolymerisable layer A and a photopolymerisable layer B in that order from the support, the layer B having a thickness not more than 2/3 that of layers A and B and having a Young's modulus of not less than 1.3 times that of the Young's modulus of the layer A after exposure. The plate reproduces large areas or letters better than plates produced from a single photopolymerisable layer.
