Abstract

An angle modulated oscillator is disclosed for use in a radio set using frequency synthesisation. The oscillator includes a phase- locked loop having a voltage- controlled oscillator (1), a divider (2), a phase discriminator (3) and a loop filter (4). There is also a reference oscillator (7) which acts on the phase discriminator via a fixed divider (5) and a phase modulator (6). The divided-down reference signal (02) thus derived from the reference oscillator is modulated by the modulation signal (U1). This enables relatively large phase or frequency deviations to be attained. <IMAGE>
