Abstract

A ladder head, comprises a pair of spaced arms (10, 11) for fixing respectively to the stiles of a ladder at or adjacent the upper ends thereof, and a cross-member (18) interconnecting the arms in such a manner so as to permit the spacing between the arms to be adjusted, a part of the safety extension being arranged to bear on a supporting surface against which the ladder is propped in use so as to space the upper end of the ladder from said supporting surface. A platform comprises two parts 24, 25 which are slidably interconnected. <IMAGE>
