Abstract
An intermediate lever 1 for a variable valve drive mechanism of an internal combusÂtion engine, comprising two side walls 2 which are bridged in a central section by an axle 3 on which a counter-rotating roller 4 for a lifting cam is arranged enclosed by the side walls 2. A surface 6 for variably transmitting a lift of the lifting cam to a pick-up element of a cam follower is located at one end 5, and the side walls 2 are spanned at a further end 7 by a further axle 8 on which a roller packet 9 for contacting a gate track and an eccentric disc is mounted. The side walls 2 are bridged by a transverse yoke 10 which is in the form of a sepaÂrate component that can be installed after the lever 1 has been produced in a stamping-bending process and then removed once the heat treatment, machining processes are completed and the rollers installed, or alternatively the yoke may remain in place.
