Abstract

A torsion bar for a vehicle suspension comprises an elongated central portion (2) and two side arms (4,6) extending therefrom in the same plane and in the same direction generally along respective axes (7,8) each side arm terminating in or near its respective axis and including a portion (10,12) which is bent outwardly and then inwardly to form a wheel suspension arm. By positioning the terminal portions of the side arms in or near the axes along which the arms extend, variations in the positioning of the terminal portions on the vehicle produced during assembly of the vehicle have little or no effect on the height of the vehicle body above the ground. <IMAGE>
