Abstract

A process for making a seal between two components such as a motor vehicle headlight glass 10 and reflector 8 is provided in which closed-cell or open-cell polyurethane is applied in situ by direct extrusion or injection to at least one of the components to adhere thereto, to form the seal between that component and the other. Preferably the polyurethane surface not in contact with the at least one of the components is allowed to dry for assembly without any adhesion to the other component. Alternatively the polyurethane is allowed to adhere to assembled faces of both components to form a dis-assembleable assembly. <IMAGE>
