Abstract

The device, e.g. a hydrazine thruster, comprises a reaction chamber (3) supplied with fuel through a pipe (7), and a heat shunt (8) coupled between the pipe immediately upstream of the reaction chamber and a heat sink, e.g. a flange member (6) containing fuel valves. In modifications the heat shunt may comprise fluid, evaporative, radiative chemical or electrical means and may be cooled by fuel bypassed from pipe (7). <IMAGE>
