Abstract

The invention seeks to provide a lining material, particularly for the interior lining of motor vehicle roofs and accessories thereon, particularly pivotal sun screens, incorporating the properties of polymeric calendered material allowing easy workability thereof with the desirable properties of fabrics, e.g. good soundproofing, heat insulation and attractive appearance comprises a support sheet, made of thermoformable polymeric material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride or foamed polyurethane, an adhesive layer deposited on the surface and a surface layer of natural and/or synthetic fibres applied thereto to give a surface finish simulating velvet. The fibres are oriented by an electromagnetic and/or electrostatic field.
