Abstract

An equipment box for installation in cable and like trunking by inserting an offset edge portion 11 of a fastening member 9 through a slot 6 in the base 1 of the box and securing a further portion of the fastening member adjacent the base of the box, with the offset edge portion 11 engaging a lip upstanding from the rear face 8 of the trunking has a cover 14 hingedly attached to one side of the slot and pivotable to a position insulating the said further portion of the fastening member from the box interior. Such an arrangement provides satisfactory electrical insulation of the fastening member, as required where the equipment box is for use in an electrical installation, yet facilitates ready installation and removal of the box, without requiring special tools or additional difficult-to-dismount separate parts. <IMAGE>
