Abstract

The device is for regulating the flow of molten polymer to a number of extrusion dies A, B, C connected to a common manifold M. The manifold has a primary flow channel 41 which has outlets at each end to secondary flow channels 42, 44 which lead to the extrusion dies. At least one intermediate secondary channel 43 is also disposed between the ends of the manifold, leading to another extrusion die or dies. A flow restrictor 50 is disposed in the primary flow channel and a respective flow restrictor 60 is disposed in the or each intermediate secondary channel. Each restrictor 50 or 60 comprises a rod adjustably mounted in the associated channel to vary the effective restricted lengths of the flow paths between the manifold inlet 40 and the die outlets. <IMAGE>
