Abstract
In the quantitative determination of turbidities, a test sample 6 is disposed in a sample holder 5 in the path of a laser beam 2b and the transmitting light is incident on an Ulbricht's sphere photometer 9b. The laser beam 2b constitutes one output of a beam splitter 4, the other output beam 2a of which is directed on to a second Ulbricht's sphere photometer 9a to provide a reference. The outputs of the photometers are applied to a differential amplifier 12, the output of which is then divided by the output of the reference photometer 9a in a divider 13. <IMAGE>
