Abstract

Regenerated cellulose filaments contain as delustrant 0.5 to 5 per cent by weight, based on cellulose, of particles of a styrene polymer, particularly polystyrene. The styrene polymer is added in the form of an emulsion to viscose before the viscose is extruded into a regenerating solution. Filaments may be hollow and produced from a viscose containing 3-4% by weight of sodium carbonate.
