Abstract

A device for suspending and guiding the harvesting assembly of a machine for harvesting in-line crops comprises a frame 1 movable relative to the ground along a row of crops and supporting the crop harvesting assembly. The harvesting assembly comprises two sections disposed on either side of a row of plants, each section having sealing and transport members 5a, 5b arranged to clamp the bottoms of the plants. The device includes a longitudinal beam 8 suspended at two points at its ends from two fixed points 11a, 11b on the frame, the four fixed points being at the vertices of a quadrilateral to allow lateral movement of the assembly with respect to the frame. The sealing and transport members are connected to the frame via the beam and skids diverging at the front of the machine are provided on the lower portions of the sealing and transport members. <IMAGE>
