Abstract

An agricultural drum mower in which the drums 18, 20 are partially supported by ground engaging supports 84 and partially from an overhead articulated structure 12, 14. The distance between the ground engaging supports and the cutters 82 on the drum are adjustable by a pin and slot engagement 188 between the overhead structure and vertical shaft 170 supporting the ground engaging support at a position near the top of the said shaft. The overhead structure has an arrangement for supporting the drum remote from the tractor, this being a horizontal tension spring 100 between the outer section 14 of the overhead structure and part of the mower nearer the tractor. <IMAGE>
