Abstract

A helmet mounted microphone comprises a non-elastic flexible sound conductor tube 36 a free end of which has a voice-receiving opening which, when the helmet is being worn, is directed towards the wearer's mouth. The tube 36 is connected to the helmet by a self-locking hinge arrangement comprising hollow members 6, 7 which provide an acoustic connection to a diaphragm 15 of the capsule 14. <IMAGE>
