Abstract

Portable container for beer under pressure has its top opening closed by a screwed-in valved spear 18, 19. The container opening is provided with a frangible tamper-proof end ring 35 having a skirt 36 secured by crimping to the container. The spear cannot be removed without breaking away an inner rim portion 33 frangibly connected to the end ring 35 and thereby providing visual evidence of tampering. <IMAGE>
