Abstract

In an electric circuit breaker, the amount by which a bimetal strip 16 must deflect to cause breaker-tripping movement of a trip bar 51 is adjustable by displacing the trip bar 51 in an axial direction so as to shift an inclined abutment surface 56 relative to a calibration screw 17 carried by the bimetal strip 16. Adjustment is effected manually from outside the circuit breaker by means of a peg 74 projecting from a crank arm 73 rotatable within limits by means of a slotted extension 66 of a boss 65. <IMAGE>
