Abstract

200,458. McKean, J. O. Dec. 27, 1922, [Convention date]. Cop tubes.-To prevent uneven winding of yarns on cop-cones, which when made of paper are liable to be irreglar, a driving- bead 5 is provided. The bead 5 may be pressed out from the wall of the cone 4, or may be an enlargement of the body of the cone and integral therewith, or it may be formed of a separate ring secured in position. The coreholder 3 is sufficiently heavy to flatten partially the bead 5 against the driving-roll 1 and bring it into concentric relationship to the axis of the cop.
