Cop tubes.-A paper or cardboard tube 1 used as a support for weft cops is provided with tongues 4 in which the end of the thread 3 may be clamped. The tongue is formed from the material of the tube and may project vertically, as shown in Fig. 2, or laterally as in Fig. 4. In a modification, the tongues 4 are formed on a ring 5,Fig. 3, of cardboard, paper, celluloid, or metal.
