Abstract
A hydropneumatic pressure reservoir has a rigid housing comprising an upper housing part (1) and a lower housing part (2) and having a flexible elastic diaphragm (3) defining two chambers separated from one another, one for containing gas under pressure and one for receiving hydraulic fluid. The upper housing part (1) is fitted into the lower housing part by means of tapered surfaces (16, 12) in order to clamp the diaphragm (3) in position. The upper housing part (1) has a recess (14) for accommodating a diaphragm protuberance (7), the recess (14) in longitudinal section being defined by two straight lines (10, 11) and, together with the tapered inner surface (12) of the lower housing part, forms a clamping chamber (13) which in longitudinal section is defined by three straight lines (10, 11, 12). The clamping chamber accommodates the diaphragm protuberance (7) and is of narrower width at the lower end of the upper housing part than at the upper annular surface (10). <IMAGE>
