Abstract

A moulded plastics playball having superior appearance and toughness more resembling a conventional leather ball than known moulded polyvinyl chloride playballs, is made by a single- stage process comprising charging the mould(s) of rotational moulding apparatus with uncured polyvinyl chloride plastisol and polyester elastomer in powder form, whereafter the mould is closed, rotated and heated so as to form a layer of uniform thickness within the mould with simultaneous fusion of the polyester and curing of the charge.
