Abstract
A cable retention device 6 for use in trunking 2 is in the form of a fastener provided towards each extremity with two branches 10 which can be drawn towards one another by elastic deformation and carry catches 13 thus able to be engaged in slots 5 of the flanges 4 of the trunking. Abutments are arranged beyond the catches 13 at the extremities of the branches 10. One end only need be disengaged to add further cables (Fig. 5, not shown). With a view to adaptation to trunking able to receive demountable partitions, coupling means such as elongate members and guide openings can be provided at the extremities of the branches 10 (Figs. 6 to 8, not shown). This enables fasteners to be joined together so as to be adapted to the selected position of the partition or partitions (Fig. 9, not shown). Fasteners of N, K, and X shapes are also mentioned. <IMAGE>
