Abstract

200,222. Tillman, R. J., and Sheppard, J. April 11, 1922. Racket presses.-Two frames 5, 6 are hinged together at one end, the hinge-pin having sufficient play to accommodate different thicknesses of rackets, and auxiliary frames 8, 9 are pivoted on the frames 5, 6 respectively, and embrace these frames when folded. Bars 11 serve as braces for the frames 8, 9 when the device is used as a seat. A strip of canvas serves as the seat and is attached to the main frames, being rolled up and secured by a strap 15 when not in use. Additional strips of canvas 13 serve to stabilize the seat and fold up when not in use. One pair of clamping screws passes through the main frames 5, 6 and the other through the auxiliary frames 8, 9, lateral projections of metal plates secured to the frames 8, 9 clamping the frames 5, 6 also.
