Abstract

A device is provided for stopping moving or mobile components, for example in magnetic tape apparatus or in a shutter of a cine camera or projector. The device disclosed has an electromagnet (1,2) placed in contact with one face of a preferably non-magnetic moving or mobile component (21) and a movable clamping member (6), which can be attracted by the electromagnet, in contact with the opposite face of the component. <IMAGE>
