Abstract
In the biological purification operation based upon the application of pressure induced by a stream of liquid in the individual activation compartments due to aeration of the liquid, the inlet openings of transmitting passages between the separated compartments are located in the area of lower velocity of flow of the liquid than the velocity of flow of the same at the outlet openings of the transmitting passages.
