Abstract
An air bleed valve responsive to carburetter intake temperature controls the degree of vacuum in the vacuum motor 8 which positions a valve 5 in an air cleaner intake conduit 1 to regulate the admission of warm air from inlet 3 for admixture with ambient air from inlet 2, a stop member 23 movable by a thermo-responsive device 16 in response to temperature changes in the ambient air being arranged so that when the ambient air is below a predetermined temperature, the stop member 16 prevents complete closure of the warm air inlet 3 by said valve, irrespective of the condition of the vacuum applied to the vacuum motor from the intake manifold of the engine. <IMAGE>
