Abstract

A snap on cap 2 is connected to a container component 1 by at least two straps 7, 8, at least one of which must be broken the first time the cap is opened. The cap 2, and the straps 7, 8 are injection moulded in one cavity together with the container component 7, 8. The cap 2 is pressed into engagement with the container component 1 during the removal from the mould. This may be achieved during ejection from the mould by moving the middle cylinder (20, Figure 4) relative to the inner core (18) and the outer cylinder (21) of a three part core so that the container component 1 is moved relative to the cap 2 which may be held stationary on the inner core (18) by a rib/groove interaction (Figure 4) or a conical configuration of the cap skirt 3. The inner core (18) may be constructed (Figure 9) to deflect the container part 1 over a skirt rib 5. <IMAGE>
